Im not sure why the crime rate is posted as going in down, when we just had on our block a neighbors car get vandalized, with vulgar comments all over her mini van and her front window on her house broken. Another neighbor had her car keyed and someone broke my rear light on my vehicle. Police can't do nothing of course and these events took place at night, while we were all asleep.
I beleive i know who did it, but i guess we have to be like owls and up all night just to catch them with our video camera's. These kids hang out at the parks at all hours and are usually smoking marijana and cigs, they are teens of course and usually travel in a pack of 5 or more, its both boys and girls.
Gosh i wish the damn parents will do something about their kids.

I wish parents could keep better watch on some kids, as well. I am curious why you commented that the police can't do anything. I posted about a rash of auto burglaries and vandalisms, probably referring to the same date in question regarding the incidents you are speaking of. Again, we utilize crime statistics, intelligence from all APD units, and intelligence from concerned citizens so we can focus attention in areas that need extra assistance. I know that the graveyard shift monitors the parks in ventana frequently, and they have made significant arrests there. We have staff meeting to address the needs of the area command on a more regular basis than any area command I am aware of, and we update suspect information and get it to all of our personnel quickly. We are hoping for more community assistance (call in suspicious activity and persons) in regards to exactly what you are referring to. I have evn had some of my detectives adjust their normal shift to accomodate working some graveyard hours to address this problem. On Day 1 of this adjustment, my detectives identified a meth house, as well as potential burglars that were casing two neighborhoods. Keep calling us before events happen (ie. suspicious activity) and after they happen. Thanks.

Also, if you think you know who did it, I hope you advised the responding officers of your suspicion. This could get the ball rolling quicker on solving the crimes. If you did not let the police know who you think committed the crimes, then we obviously lost a potential lead, which would be quite a travesty.

We haven't had a problem on our block at Cedar Point for a year or so!! I hope it's due to the efforts of law enforcement. It sucks that we have these punks here but they are everywhere.
