Ok, it looks like the park is up and running. What about access? The "Universe Motor Speedway" makes it difficult to cross the street safely. To make matter worse, drivers show a blatant disregard for pedestrians by driving at higher speeds than posted on this road. Shouldn't there be a traffic light and crosswalk for pedestrians to safely cross at Universe and Ventana Village Drive. I see children and moms with baby strollers trying to cross the street at Ventana Village road all the time. It makes sense that pedestrians would cross at this point since the front entrance of the park is directly accross from Ventana Village road. Does anyone know if there are plans to put a traffic light at this location? If not a light, then perhaps a full time crossing guard employed with funding from our community dues? This public life safety service would be needed between the hours of 7:00am to 8:00pm weekly and weekends. I am very concerned about the life safety for all those humans that attempt this crossing.
