Our mission is to promote a better neighborhood through group action, so that
the quality of life shall be in keeping with the interests of the residents.
We represent Ventana Ranch to City, County, Education and State bodies. We are
officially recognized under the city’s Neighborhood Recognition Ordinance,
which requires that the VRNA be notified of impending issues that affect Ventana
Ranch. VRNA is your neighborhood association. Your support is needed!
As was mentioned in the latest VRNA newsletter, there is a proposal for a 63 foot tall cell tower in the northeast corner of the Ventana Square shopping center. The tower is proposed to be "architecturally integrated" into the existing stip mall in the shape of a bell tower. It would be located behind the Dollar Tree and the Family Church.
The decision on whether this cell tower will be approved for this location will be made by city planner Catalina Lehner. She must approve or deny this request only on the basis of existing code. However she will also make recommendations on the visual appearance and features of this tower.
We will have a rendering of the proposed cell tower up very soon.
In the meantime the VRNA strongly recommends contacting city planner, Catalina Lehner and politely expressing your opinions on this proposed tower.

Additional Information: License was issued after Alcohol & Gaming Division was informed of objection from the neighborhood association and that a church would be located within 300 ft. Church moved in soon after. The state violated the spirit of the law. A&GD never returned request for state hearing information.
The VRNA is planning a rally in front of the liquor store site in Ventana Square. Please join us in showing your opposition to this project.
Where: Ventana Square, between KFC/Taco Bell and Little Anitas
When: Wednesday, May 26th, 5pm
We will be inviting the local media, so bring homemade signs, and the kids to show that the Ventana Ranch community is a family friendly community and we don't need a large liquor store.
A 65 foot cell tower has been proposed for a location behind the Dollar Tree and Family Church in Ventana Square. The VRNA is opposed to this project. A facilitated meeting has been scheduled for neighbors to come out and listen to the proposal and share their thoughts on this project.
When: Monday, May 24th 6:30pm
Where: Ventana Ranch Community Center (where the pool is)
10001 Rainbow Blvd.
