Our mission is to promote a better neighborhood through group action, so that
the quality of life shall be in keeping with the interests of the residents.
We represent Ventana Ranch to City, County, Education and State bodies. We are
officially recognized under the city’s Neighborhood Recognition Ordinance,
which requires that the VRNA be notified of impending issues that affect Ventana
Ranch. VRNA is your neighborhood association. Your support is needed!
Yard Sale in the Park, our annual neighborhood wide flea market, is Saturday September 18th from 8AM to 12PM in Terrazas Park.
Yard sale booth spaces are approximately 10' x 15'. Reservation is free for VRNA members during our pre-registration through September 17th. If you are not a VRNA member (membership is only $15 for a year), then booth reservation is $20 during pre-registration.
Booth registration after September 17th is $5 for VRNA members and $25 for non VRNA members.
On the morning of the sale, please arrive by 7:30AM for setup and check-in.
The Ventana Ranch Neighborhood Association has a few board of directors openings. We just need a few hours of your time each month. Meetings are generally the 3rd Wednesday of the month. All we ask is that you care about your community. Sense of humor a plus!
Remember as it says in red above; we are not the HOA, we are your neighborhood association. Our board has nothing to do with the your dues, or fines, or anything like that. Our board works for the community, we are a civic organization. We work for more roads, schools, better services. We put on various community events, such as the Spring Fiesta, Ice Cream Social, Tamale Dinner, Yard Sale in the Park, and more! Oh, we could also use your help with these events, if you are not interested in serving on the board.
Are you interested? Well if you are, use the Contact Us link to the left.
As was mentioned in the latest VRNA newsletter, there is a proposal for a 63 foot tall cell tower in the northeast corner of the Ventana Square shopping center. The tower is proposed to be "architecturally integrated" into the existing stip mall in the shape of a bell tower. It would be located behind the Dollar Tree and the Family Church.
The decision on whether this cell tower will be approved for this location will be made by city planner Catalina Lehner. She must approve or deny this request only on the basis of existing code. However she will also make recommendations on the visual appearance and features of this tower.
We will have a rendering of the proposed cell tower up very soon.
In the meantime the VRNA strongly recommends contacting city planner, Catalina Lehner and politely expressing your opinions on this proposed tower.
